Happy Birthday, Dr. Suess.

...Hallo folks, I'm going to spare you the agony of what I did last year and not write in Suessian rhythm.

Yes, yes, I can hear the sighs of relief and cheers of joy at that statement.

Ok... maybe just a little Suess...

Hooray Hooray Hooray Hooray
Today is a very important day!

Sorry, that's all I can think of so I'll stop there. But I *am* going to tell you a little more about the importance of this day. Today is Read Across America Day. If you have a young child in your life, pick up a book and read to them, or explain the importance of reading to them.

If you don't have a young child in your life, then pick up a book and read yourself. Just an hour, or a half-hour. And I'm not talking about some magazine, or document for work or even a long winded blog entry, but a real honest-to-goodness book. Pick anything - a biography, a romance, a psych thriller... it doesn't matter.

All that matters is that you spend a little time for you with a good book....

...and maybe sing a small quiet Happy Birthday to Dr. Suess.
