It's Monday...

...and it's time again for The A List!

The holiday season is in full swing, and for many it's a time of reflection about the year that is rapidly disappearing. For others, it's a time to attempt to bring balance back to a busy life.

What do you do to give thanks for all that you have in your life? Is it a simple thought or prayer over a Thanksgiving meal, or do you make an effort to be thankful throughout the year? Is it something you consciously need to be reminded of once in a while, or something that's part of your daily routine?

You know, I try to be thankful for the things (and by things I mean all the people, my job, home, etc. that is present) in my life, but sometimes I clearly fall short of that. I think, as humans, we all do.

Yes, I tend to fall prey to forgetting things in the rush and stress of the season, and don't find the extra moment to say a little prayer to thank God for giving me what I have in my life. And I forget to tell the people that are important to me that they are important to me (y'all know who you are). And at Thanksgiving I tend to feel more guilty that I haven't done this, than feeling thankful for them, because I wasn't paying attention to being thankful for it more regularly during the year.

It is something that I need to be reminded of, and something that others need to be reminded of as well, I think. Like I said, we're all human and humans forget things.

So take a moment and let someone you know that you appreciate thier presence in your life, or that you love them. That they're important to you. And say a little prayer, or send up a thought, burn a candle, hug a tree - whatever you do - to thank the powers that be for what you have in your life, and that you have a life to live.

That's all for now...
