The Quest For Purple Shirts...
...First off, I want to thank everyone for the suggestions on what to do about purple shirts. I perused a few of those suggestions and while we found some things we still didn't find what seemed to be perfect.

And so we put the search aside for a few hours while we enjoyed 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' on Saturday morning. Great movie. Wish they hadn't left some things out of the book that they did, but that's all I'm going to say so that it doesn't spoil the one or two remaining people in the world who haven't seen it yet.

The theater we went to was in a mall (albeit an almost dead one) and so we decided to walk around and see what we could see. And we saw a J.C. Penney. And we wandered in to look. After some searching in women's we moved over to men's. That's where we found the most lovely purple shirt. American Polo Association, and it was on *sale*. Unfortunately there was only one that would fit us and the rest were large and extra large. Plenty in all the other colors, but not in the purple. Apparently it's a popular color.

Everyone I know likes purple so that's not a surprise folks.

Anyway, we hang onto this one purple shirt and go downstairs to the kids section hoping that we can color match to something down there (and hoping that they would have one big enough to fit me). We hit paydirt, but not in the way you'd think. We didn't match the purple polo in my hand.

We found a rack of polo shirts and they had a bunch of purple. They had purple shirts that fit each one of us as long as we don't gain a bunch of weight between now and the reunion or these shirts don't mysteriously shrink. We washed them and they were fine, so I suspect that they'll make it. We were elated that we finally found the purple shirts.

Would you believe that we found them in the boys' section of the store? None of us are boys (DH qualifies for the men's section), yet we found our shirts there in that section. Go figure. What's really scary is that DH fit into a large size (so did I; the girls were in mediums). The only issue we had was trying to get our heads through the neck holes, which is why the girls were in mediums instead of smalls. We're not worried about that....

...we're more concerned that a boy that fits a large is the same size as my 5'8" DH.
