Today....

...I have almost nothing to say.

Yesterday was the anniversary of a massive disaster in United States history.

Today is the anniversary of the worry, the disgust, and the effort to begin cleanup that is still continuing. Revitalization that is still continuing. Decisions about whether to stay or whether to go that are still continuing.

Today, in California, it is a quiet day. Elsewhere in the world wars continue unnecessarily, large storm systems gain strength and move towards land, people die, others are born, companies report eanings and losses, and the media marches on.

But today in California at my desk, where I live, it is a quiet day. And I hope that it is a quiet day for all of you wherever you are.
