It's Monday...

...And that means The A List!. This week, we're talking baking...

The holidays are in full swing! Tomorrow we begin the cookie-baking in our house and hope they last long enough for our Christmas family dinner.

What are your baking/cooking plans for the holidays this year? Have you started yet? Anything that is an annual tradition that you simply *must* do?

Ah... baking. Every year my MIL and I get together and bake to our heart's content. I don't know when we're going to do that this year, but it's a tradition. At least 17 or 18 dozen cookies come out of that bake-a-thon what with the traditional spritz cookies and pecan puffs that she makes, and the usual oatmeal cookies that I come up with. And then there's usually a pan of lemon bars, and some sort of chocolate cookie that I play with. And the cakemix cookie recipe that I have (which, come to think of it, I may make during the week just to get it out of the way)

There are the other usual traditions too - the kids are helping out with the cookies and the Christmas tree. And when the tree goes up, the Christmas music gets put up on the CD player as well. Usually it's the day after Thanksgiving that that happens, and it all gets cleared away quickly, but this year we're dragging our heels just a touch on that one.

So... that's what we're up to this week - Christmas planning!
