What is it about the holidays...

...that brings the worst about in people, or rather, gets people into fighting moods?

Maybe it's the stress of having to deal with relatives that they don't normally have to. Maybe it's the hassle that accompanies the best sales of the year - the traffic, the crowds, the lines, and all the other headaches (physical and literal) that go along with it.

Honestly, a simple statement one person can make gets turned into a political debate that verges on coming to verbal blows. Someone else's comment on the origins of Christmas turns into a debate on religion.

Makes me wonder if people who get thier dander up on such things at this time of year were looking for the fight and couldn't find it, therefore, they'll jump on the first thing that they can turn into a fight. Also makes me want to crawl under a rock and stay there until the climate is better... or until California falls into the ocean.
